Today’s “Word of the Day” is paraphernalia and it is a noun meaning “a group of apparatus, equipment or things used for a particular activity; miscellaneous articles, set of objects; trappings, accessories, (personal) belongings”.

Example Sentence:  Today, the world has a whole spectrum of groups – from the European Union at one end to the African Union at the other – with varying shades of cooperation…Many of them do not have regional, ideological or thematic homogeneity to lend them a reason for forming a group. The time, the money and the energy spent on convening not only summits but also a whole paraphernalia of ministerial, official and expert level meetings do not seem justified.
