2. discomfort (noun) – difficulty, trouble, hardship/distress.
3. brent crude (noun) – a classification of crude oil produced from the oil platform in the North Sea.
4. slip (verb) – decline, drop, degenerate.
5. cartel (noun) – a group of manufacturers/businesses fixing a high price to avoid competition and to make more money.
6. ramp up (phrasal verb) – increase.
7. apprehension (noun) – concern, doubt/qualm, misgiving.
