Today’s “Word of the Day” is plebiscite and it is a noun meaning “a direct vote by the people of an entire country to decide on their choice of a ruler or government; public vote, referendum, ballot, popular poll“.

Example Sentence: “The current electionwill not offer even a semblance of competition to Mr[.] Putin, much less give a limited stage to any critical opponentas past elections sometimes did.
