Today’s “Word of the Day” is “parlance” and it is a noun meaning “a type of language that people in a particular profession use when they talk/speak; a way of speaking (using words) by a particular group of people; jargon, manner of speaking, language, vocabulary, vernacular, terminology, slang, localism”.

Example Sentence: But does this mean that India has a severe capacity constraint in engineering and technological higher education?… There is, thus, neither a scarcity (shortage) of seats nor capacity constraints. The nation is, in fact, staring at a dearth (shortage) of institutions offering quality engineering education at an affordable cost.
