- gender identity (noun) – the personal sense of one’s own gender (male/female). Gender identity can correlate with a person’s assigned gender at birth or can differ from it.
- recognition (noun) – acknowledgement, acceptance, official approval, certification.
- legal gender recognition (noun) – it refers to the process by which individuals can change their
legally recognized sex or gender to match their self-identified gender on forms of
